i'm aware that this is not the most fresh video from chromeo, but i like this one a lot. my love is growing so fast towards chromeo's music. i was literally in my worst mood after a weekend full of booze and pills, and i turned out to be worst when i'm drunk. it's like getting the worst hangover because there's literally nothing to do on monday when everyone is going out for work. all i had was my bad mood, UNTIL i listened to one chromeo and seem to can't stop myself for more because it literally makes my mood better.
people are getting excited for chris brown and ne-yo's concert coming this december, well, maybe it's just my timeline in twitter. and respect to both, but really, the mainstream keeps making a projection that its failing in delivering an education about 'good music'. i want chromeo, they sound good live; they deliver 'something'. it sucks when more music which get more commercial seem to lose that 'something'. i'm sorry to blabber and it's not that i'm the best person with the best musical taste and ears, but i'm just afraid that more and more people will lose the ability to listen to 'good music'. it's only in my part though, i can't generate people's ears with mine and not that i want to, but things are going to be a lot better if we can educate our ears and sense toward 'good music'.
if you ask me to elaborate 'good music', i'm just going to make it simple. for me, it takes more than some good tunes, more than 'meets the ears'. i'm a sucker for lyrics and stage acts and the history. we may share different takes on 'good music' but somehow, just somehow, i hope more good music become commercial. BUT if great musicians aren't complaining about their music then why should i? i don't care about the commercialism, all i care is the good music. it's just in my deepest hope that more people will be able to get to hear the 'good music' in the slump of 'most of it are crappy, some are okay' music.
